About the Division
Assurance, Knowledge and Executive Services Division
The Assurance, Knowledge and Executive Services Division has a wide range of functions and responsibilities. The division provides expert advice, training and support to the department through a range of portfolio advisory and assurance services. The division also provides support to the department's executives and ministers and manages all Cabinet and Parliament processes. The division also undertakes a range of time limited projects to support the efficient operation of the department.

In addition, the division leads the Public Accounts and Estimates Committee's (PAEC) Financial Performance Outcomes (FPO) process.
The Assurance Branch, is responsible for internal audit delivery and advice (including for government schools and Early Learning Victoria Centres (ELVC)), improving the use of data management and analytics for audit and assurance activities, internal audit planning, audit improvement initiatives, providing secretariat support for the Audit and Risk Committee (ARC), and coordinating Victorian Auditor General's Office performance audits.
