About the role
The Senior Infrastructure & Assets Officer provides technical and operational leadership in the planning and delivery of infrastructure maintenance, renewal and capital works programs across the Region. Reporting to the Infrastructure and Assets Manager, the role is responsible for ensuring Parks Victoria's extensive portfolio of roads, tracks, bridges, visitor facilities and other park assets are safe, compliant, fit for purpose and maintained in line with approved standards, budgets and legislative requirements.
Responsibilities include project planning and delivery, procurement and contract administration, risk management, and ensuring compliance with Parks Victoria's P3M Project Management Framework, the Asset Management Accountability Framework (AMAF), and relevant safety and environmental legislation.

The Infrastructure and Assets Team is responsible for managing and maintaining nearly 20,000 assets across parks throughout the Greater Melbourne Region. The team plays a critical role in ensuring public safety, protecting environmental and cultural values, and enabling millions of visitors each year to enjoy Victoria's parks.
We're looking for someone with:
- Demonstrated experience in infrastructure or asset management, ideally with exposure to similar asset classes and legislative requirements
- Strong capability in project management, procurement and contract administration within complex operational environments
- Experience assessing asset condition, risk and priorities to inform funding allocation and delivery programs
- Proven ability to lead and mentor staff, while working collaboratively with contractors and multidisciplinary teams
