THE ROLE
The Senior Housing Services Officer role is a client facing position which supports the delivery of the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing's housing program and plays a vital role in supporting the delivery of client-centered services to individuals and families who seek housing assistance or reside in public housing. The role undertakes a range of tasks relating to tenancy and property management and the provision of housing advice and assistance.
The Senior Housing Services Officer – Business Support is a highly skilled housing worker who uses their expertise and knowledge to resolve complex and challenging problems associated with client needs and housing tenancies. With a strong focus on entry point service delivery, housing advice and assistance, they have a key role in coaching, mentoring and guiding other Housing Services (patch) Officers in matching, property offers and sign-ups. They develop and lead performance reporting to improve service delivery to clients, the focus on performance outcomes includes coaching Housing Services (patch) officers to identify and implement strategies for improvement and response to client and program need.
They require the capability to work proactively in managing Victorian Housing Register application assessments.
