About Health Information Services department
The Health Information Services (HIS) at Austin Health consists of Medical Record Services, Clinical Coding Services, Submission Services and Corporate Records Services. HIS has approximately 70 FTE, located across the three Austin Health sites.
About the role
The Clinical Coding Service at Austin Health is looking for an experienced Health Information Manager with a passion for education to join our Clinical Coding Service. Our office space on Mount Street Heidelberg provides convenient access to Heidelberg Station, Burgundy Street shopping precinct and a private carpark. We offer flexible work arrangements including ADOs and working from home days.
The Senior Health Information Manager will work within the Education portfolio alongside two other experienced Senior Health Information Managers. This position will be responsible for the mentoring and training of junior or entry level Health Information Managers. At Austin Health the coding, auditing and education processes are supported by software including Solventum Code Finder, Code Focus (Data Agility) and PICQ Audit (Beamtree).
