Senior Forest and Wildlife Officers are Authorised Officers operating under a range of legislation to support investigations and enforcement activities related to wildlife, forest produce, land management, and fire management operations. The purpose of this role is to contribute across the full spectrum of compliance programs, including education and engagement, inspections and assessments, monitoring activities, and the enforcement of legislative requirements. Officers also play a key role in delivering service excellence and fostering a strong safety culture within the Regulator.
The position is responsible for managing a team of Forest and Wildlife Officers to undertake investigations, inspections, and enforcement actions across a diverse range of operational contexts. This role is based within the regional Regulatory Operations Branch and is responsible for planning and delivering strategic operations and intelligence-led investigations in alignment with the Conservation Regulator’s risk-based, intelligence-led approach to conservation regulation.
