From the mountains of the Great Dividing Range to the floodplains of the Murray, Ovens and Goulburn Rivers across the Hume Region, this position is the perfect opportunity for the best candidate to influence and deliver on the Conservation Regulator's key regulatory priorities to protect Victoria's natural assets.
The best candidate will have demonstrated experience in leading a focused regulatory team to achieve positive environmental compliance outcomes, based on competing risks, available resources and priorities.
This position has a key role in managing complex investigations into breaches of environmental legislation that results in significant environmental harm as well as developing and mentoring junior team members and working with key external stakeholders.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
This is a fixed term position available until 31 January 2029. The work location for this position is flexible between Benalla or Wodonga with hybrid work arrangements available.
