ROLE SUMMARY:
The Senior Fleet Program Lead is responsible for the end-to-end management of fleet procurement and purchasing programs across VICSES, excluding fleet leasing, which is managed by Fleet Services. The role provides program governance, coordination, and oversight for fleet builds, refurbishment, and replacement programs from contract award through to readiness for commissioning.
The position is accountable for establishing and maintaining the overall fleet build and refurbishment program schedule, reporting frameworks, and controls to monitor progress, financial performance, risks, issues, supplier milestones, and dependencies across all fleet programs. This includes consolidated reporting for VESEP, annual fleet replacement programs, ERC (BP4), external reporting requests, and internal executive and project governance forums.
The role works closely with Fleet Services, Equipment, Service Delivery, and Quality Assurance teams to ensure all aspects of pre-commissioning are planned, coordinated, and executed in a timely manner. This includes ensuring new rescue truck equipment kits are ordered, staged, and available to support stowage induction and commissioning activities. The Senior Fleet Program Lead also leads the fit-out and refurbishment function, ensuring vehicles are prepared for commissioning and quality assurance activities in accordance with approved plans and schedules.

We assist Victoria Police in search and rescue operations, and play an important role in supporting the Country Fire Authority (CFA), Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV), Parks Victoria and the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA) during major bushfire and emergency incidents.
