About the Role
The Senior Financial Systems Reporting Officer plays a key role in supporting business users across the department in the use and adoption of financial planning and reporting systems. The role will primarily support budgeting and forecasting via Axiom, and reporting mainly using Oracle Analytics Cloud (OACs), Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI) and other reporting platforms within Financial Systems and Projects branch. As the department transitions from Axiom to Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM), the incumbent will also contribute to the implementation, user readiness, testing, and adoption of the new platform.

About the Financial Systems and Projects Branch
The Financial Systems and Projects Branch is responsible for developing, supporting, maintaining, and continually improving the department's financial systems and applications.
The branch plays a critical role in leading financial system transformation projects and ensuring the systems are aligned with strategic objectives, user needs, and compliance requirements. It also provides technical and functional support for Oracle Cloud and associated finance platforms, ensuring integration, data quality, and user enablement across the Department.

The department provides a wide range of learning and development support and services.
The department provides policy leadership, plans for the future of education in Victoria and leads key cross-sector collaboration. The department plays an important system steward role by providing support, guidance, oversight and assurance across early childhood and school education systems, as well as directly providing school education and 50 new early learning centres.
About the Division
The Financial Services Division is responsible for designing and implementing financial management principles, processes and systems to ensure that managers have the necessary support to execute their financial management responsibilities. The Division is responsible for establishing the appropriate financial management and assurance environment within schools, groups, regions and the statutory authorities.
The Division also administers programs supporting students to access education provision including student transport assistance programs and the Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund.
