The Department of Government Services (DGS) was established on 1 January 2023 to improve everyone's experience of doing business and interacting with the Victorian government. We bring important day-to-day services together in one department to make things easy and seamless for Victorians and businesses. We are doing this by connecting and digitising our systems and platforms across state and local government as well as streamlining our corporate and procurement services.
The Operations Group
This group provides corporate services to the Department, including planning and executive services, human resources, information and technology services, and operational services.
Our Shared Service Provider team deliver strategic, efficient, relevant and effective accommodation management, carpool and library services to all Victorian Government departments and agencies while the Strategic Sourcing team provide whole of government procurement and strategic sourcing solutions to achieve best value for the Victorian Government.
About the role
Working closely with the RTBA Chief Financial Officer, Consumer Affairs Victoria (CAV), and other key stakeholders, this role is responsible for the financial stewardship, governance and oversight of CAV-administered trust funds, regulatory revenue streams and associated financial management processes.
The role provides expert financial analysis, strategic advice and governance support to senior management and governance committees, ensuring informed decision-making, effective risk management and strong financial oversight. Responsibilities include the management and assurance of trust fund operations, regulatory systems, banking arrangements, financial reconciliations, forecasting, sustainability assessments and compliance with legislative, regulatory and audit requirements.
