About Us
Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal, Judicial College and Judicial Commission.
Collectively, Victoria's Supreme, County, Magistrates', Children's, and Coroners courts, the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT), the Judicial College of Victoria, the Judicial Commission of Victoria, and Court Services Victoria (CSV) are referred to as the ‘Courts Group'.
Our people enable the Courts Group to deliver on each jurisdiction's own strategic priorities while also pursuing strategic opportunities that are interconnected and deliver benefits more broadly.
The Magistrates' Court of Victoria (MCV) has a long history of providing justice for the people of Victoria in metropolitan and regional courts across the state. The MCV determines in excess of 200,000 cases per annum at 51 venues, dealing with over 90 percent of all adult cases that come before Victorian courts each year.
MCV aims to be an innovative, accessible and responsive court that provides quality services to the Victorian community.
About the Role
Play a key role in shaping and strengthening Victoria's Specialist Family Violence Court model. Working across a statewide service, you will drive practice excellence, improve service delivery, and support consistent, high-quality outcomes for court users impacted by family violence.
Partnering with courts, practitioners, community organisations and lived experience advisors, you will lead the development of practice standards, operational frameworks, tools and initiatives that enhance safety, accountability and access to justice. Working closely with the General Manager, Court Services Quality and Standards, and the broader Court Services Quality and Standards team, the Senior Family Violence Program Advisor is responsible for supporting and enhancing consistent, high-quality service delivery across the statewide family violence practitioner workforce.
The role has a strong focus on the maintenance, development and continuous improvement of the Specialist Family Violence Court model, practice standards, operating frameworks, systems, tools and clear, effective communications.
Active consultation and engagement with a broad range of stakeholders, including practitioners, courts, partner agencies and lived experience advisors, is key to strengthening safety, accountability and outcomes for court users.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced family violence professional who enjoys influencing practice, leading improvement projects and working collaboratively with diverse stakeholders to deliver meaningful change.
