About the role
We are seeking a Senior Lawyer to join our Mildura office. This is more than a legal role, it's an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals, families and communities across the region.
You will deliver high-quality legal services in family law and family violence intervention order matters, including early advice, duty lawyer services, complex casework, representation and negotiation.
You will appear in the Magistrates' Court of Victoria and the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia, including through the Family Advocacy and Support Services (FASS) model, managing sensitive and urgent matters, including related child protection issues where required. You will also mentor junior lawyers and contribute to community legal education, policy and law reform initiatives to improve access to justice.
Relocation support may be available for suitable applicants moving to Mildura. Mildura offers affordable housing, a strong community and access to the Murray River and surrounding parks.
This role is based at our Mildura office on Latji Latji, Barkindji, and Paakantji Country.
