About the role
Victoria Legal Aid (VLA) is seeking a Senior Lawyer to join our Horsham office. In this role, you will provide high quality legal services, represent clients, and conduct casework in family law, child protection and family violence including intervention order matters.
You will also work as a duty lawyer in the Magistrates Court of Victoria and the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia, including the Family Advocacy and Support Services (FASS) pilot project. You will mentor and train junior lawyers, help develop legal education programs and take part in policy and law reform projects. Some travel is required for community outreach and support.
This role is based at our Horsham office on Wotjobaluk, Jaadwa, Jadawadjali, Wergaia and Jupagalk Country.
