Senior Executive Assistant
The Role
The Senior Executive Assistant provides high-level executive support, strategic coordination and administrative services to the Chief Communications Officer and the Executive Director, Office of the Secretary, and supports the Strategic Communications Leadership Team. The role requires an independent and proactive professional who can confidently engage with senior stakeholders, manage multiple complex and confidential requests, coordinate priorities and timelines, and provide high-quality administrative and project coordination support. Advanced computer skills and strong consultation, planning and organisational skills are essential.

The Team
The position of Senior Executive Assistant forms part of the Office of the Secretary within the Strategic Communications Branch.
The Office of the Secretary provides high-level support to the Secretary in leading and managing the department's statutory obligations, governance and ministerial commitments. The Strategic Communications Branch supports and enhances the department's reputation, raises the profile of key initiatives, investments and programs, and provides communications, corporate affairs, digital, brand, marketing and customer communications services.
About You
You will use your problem-solving skills to investigate issues, liaise with stakeholders, analyse information from different perspectives and identify workable solutions. You will use your planning and organising skills to prioritise activities, develop and maintain effective systems and procedures, track progress and respond to barriers. You will also bring strong relationship-building and communication skills, together with proven experience providing high-level administrative and executive support at senior management level.
