Providing authoritative and timely advice on environmental (biodiversity) legislation and regulatory requirements to satisfy planning approvals and compliance for MRPV projects and assist with obtaining secondary consents, preparation and implementation of management plans, and compliance and reporting requirements.
Working collaboratively with MRPV colleagues, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to assist progression of project requirements and resolve complex environmental, planning and approval issues.
Performing key actions required under MRPV's environmental management system including provision of high quality, timely and accurate review and advice on relevant environment documentation for MRPV projects.
Supporting environmental compliance and monitoring programs and databases relating to biodiversity matter - including project compliance with relevant State and Federal environmental legislative obligations.
Developing strong relationships and liaising closely with the contractors, relevant regulators and stakeholders including DELWP, DCCEEW, municipal councils and local environment interest groups where required.
The successful candidate provides expertise and support on ecology and environment issues impacting the planning and delivery of MRPV projects. They will contribute to the development of guidance, systems, training, and other initiatives to support compliance with environmental regulatory requirements and create positive environmental and biodiversity outcomes on MRPV projects.
This opportunity is up to 3-years fixed-term.
It will be a requirement to travel and spend time at one or all our site offices.
