Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal, Judicial College and Judicial Commission.

The Magistrates' Court of Victoria (MCV) has a long history of providing justice for the people of Victoria in metropolitan and regional courts across the state. The MCV determines in excess of 200,000 cases per annum at 51 venues, dealing with over 90 percent of all adult cases that come before Victorian courts each year.

About the Role
The Data Infrastructure and Analytics (DIA) team sits within the Performance and Reporting unit and is responsible for maintaining, extracting, collating, analysing and presenting data from a variety of court systems to support evidence based decision making and statutory reporting. The team also provides demand and forecasting analyses to support operational effectiveness, policy development and budget submissions to government.
The Senior Data Infrastructure and Reporting Analyst is a subject matter expert for the extraction, collation, analysis and presentation of data.
The role progresses and responds to internal and external data requests, as well as develops reports and datasets using, primarily, Microsoft SQL, Excel and Power BI.
The Senior Data Infrastructure and Reporting Analyst ole supports the development of well researched, high level strategic advice regarding MCV operations by conducting research and analyses of court data and may be required to develop demand models and other analysis for use in business cases.
The role will also support the Senior Manager, Data Infrastructure and Analysis to enhance data literacy, governance and transparency throughout the organisation by developing, reviewing, disseminating and communicating relevant documentation.
