About the Business Unit:
Evidence and Insights is tasked with supporting the Chief Operating Officer in leading the department's agenda in the delivery of justice and community safety services in Victoria by providing a strong evidence base for the development of effective policy and effective organisational management.
Evidence and Insights focuses on meeting the department's data needs by providing responsive and sustainable services focused on supporting departmental outcomes. It is also responsible for providing end-to-end evidence-based policy support across the department and the reporting of data and research to the Victorian public through the Crime Statistics Agency.
About the Role:
Multiple Senior Data Analysts are sought to work in Evidence and Insights across the following teams:
The Senior Data Analysts will be responsible for providing high-quality data and analysis to support public reporting and evidence-based policy and program development. The roles will be responsible for planning, managing, and delivering high-quality data analytics and research projects using Victoria Police, Corrections Victoria and other crime and justice data sources as required.
These positions will also present analytical findings in written and visual formats and develop and maintain strong working relationships with a broad range of stakeholders to understand and meet their information needs.
This position may require the successful applicant to obtain a baseline security clearance.
