About VHBA
The Victorian Health Building Authority (VHBA) is responsible for the rollout of the Victorian Government's multi-billion-dollar health capital projects. We're delivering world-class health facilities across Victoria including new public hospitals and emergency care, community health services, ambulance branches, residential aged care and mental health facilities. VHBA also provides technical support across engineering, property, asset management and environmental sustainability disciplines.
The Opportunity
The Senior Data Analyst supports the Project Controls team by monitoring construction project performance, tracking progress, risks, and issues. They create reports for senior management, improve reporting processes, manage resource tracking and forecasting, conduct bespoke analysis, develop financial models, and build user-friendly Power BI dashboards across the organisation.
Key aspects of the role include:
Developing complex data and financial models, creating impactful Power BI dashboards, and performing advanced specialist analysis with limited supervision.
Gaining deep knowledge of the VHBA portfolio to ensure accurate data context, interpreting and applying business plans, and preparing briefs on complex issues for decision-making.
Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, initiate analysis aligned with organisational goals, and support policy development and operational adaptation within the team.
We are looking for:
Significant experience and proficiency in Power BI, including developing and iterating Power BI dashboards.
Demonstrated understanding of Project Management and process improvement methodologies.
High level of accuracy, precision and attention to detail in data analysis
Strong communication skills with the ability to confidently convey ideas in a clear and sensitive manner.
