About the Division
The Academy is recruiting to two Senior Data Analyst positions located in the following two Divisions:
- The Academy Services Division provides a range of specialist services to teams across the Academy, and to program participants (potential and current) to ensure high quality professional learning, and an optimal experience for our stakeholders. The Division's four specialist areas include learning design, data evaluation and evidence, communications and marketing, and participant and program support.
- The Business Services Division who leads the provision of corporate support services and functions (including procurement, project management and program governance, human resources and culture architecture, finance, facilities management and, risk, audit and reporting) which enable successful operation of the Academy. In addition, the Business Services Division is responsible for the oversight, delivery and reporting of the performance and compliance obligations required of a statutory authority.
About the Role
For the role in the Academy Services Division:
- The Senior Data Analyst is responsible for leading data analysis, reporting and insights (qualitative and quantitative) on the impact and reach of the of the Academy's professional learning programs. The role provides expert advice and quality assurance across key accountability and performance data to ensure accurate, timely and fit for purpose evidence and insights that underpin Academy decision making and support continuous improvement.
For the role in the Business Services Division:
- The Senior Data Analyst is responsible for providing high-level data analysis, reporting and insights to support evidence-informed decision making across the Academy. This role leads the development and monitoring of performance measures, dashboards and other reports and ensures that data is accurate, timely and accessible, and contributes to building a culture of data-driven performance improvement across the Academy.
To be successful as a Senior Data Analyst at the Academy, you will
- Demonstrate experience in data analysis, reporting and visualisations, with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights and advice.
- Have experience in designing and managing performance measurement frameworks and dashboards that track outcomes and demonstrate impact
- Demonstrate strong communication skills, enabling you to present findings to technical and non-technical audiences, including senior executives
- Work collaboratively across teams and demonstrate initiative in improving data quality, reporting processes and data systems.
- Bring strong attention to detail, problem solving capability and a focus on continuous improvement.
Capabilities
You must have a strong ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships to effectively communicate and collaborate. You will also have ability to build analytical capability across the team and the Academy to share best practice and develop tools and processes that will enhance overall data literacy across the Academy. You will have proven expertise in analysing complex datasets using descriptive and inferential statistics and translating insights into clear, accurate, and actionable reports. You will have project management skills to be able to support, manage and lead projects/initiatives, to navigate project/initiative risks and make recommendations or decisions that support successful delivery, as well as be flexible in adapting to changes and competing priorities. You will have strong written and verbal communication skills to prepare reports and other visual documentation.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Relevant
experience or tertiary qualification in data analytics/data science, research, and/or evaluation is mandatory.
- Demonstrated experience in evaluation methodologies, literature reviews, systems thinking and research into professional learning is also desirable.
