This is a fixed term, full time position until 28 May 2026.
About the Role
The Senior Customer Support Advisor leads to provide high level of the customer support to the schools and families.
This also involves formulating policy advice and responding to the queries related to the program and its delivery. This may include research, analysis, development of policy options and the preparation of reports. The Senior Customer Support Advisor assists the Manager, School Bus Program and Conveyance Allowance to implement administrative reform of the School Bus Program, including the administration and roll out of the Student Travel Assistance Portal (STAP) across Victoria.
The role will ensure that schools and students accessing STAP are provided with accurate information and administrative support to enable the efficient delivery of school bus networks within STAP. Supported by a team of program officers within the department's Student Transport Unit, the Senior Customer Support Advisor will collaborate widely with schools, families and where required, Department of Transport and Planning representatives who are responsible for the coordination and management of contracted bus services delivering the School Bus Program.

About the Division
The Financial Services Division (FSD) is responsible for designing and implementing financial management principles, processes and systems to ensure that managers have the necessary support to execute their financial management responsibilities.
The division is responsible for establishing the appropriate financial management and assurance environment within schools, groups, regions and the Statutory Authorities.
FSD has a key role in supporting the 'second line of defence' through its oversight functions and also administers transport assistance programs that support students with access to education provision, and to participate in school-based activities through the Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund.
