About the Business Unit:
The Victorian Road Safety Strategy 2021-2030 commits to the ambitious target of eliminating death from our roads by 2050, with the first step of halving road deaths by 2030. It also seeks to reduce the incidence of serious injury resulting from road crashes.
The Road Safety manages Victoria's road safety camera network and is a representative for the Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS) in Victoria's road safety partnership. Road Safety contributes to this partnership in the operation of road safety cameras, and the policy and strategic directions of the broader road safety enforcement. Road Safety is accountable to the Minister for Police and the Office of the Road Safety Camera Commissioner.
The Contracts Management team has overall responsibility for monitoring all contracts and agreements that support the delivery of a wide range of road safety camera services. The Senior Contracts Adviser, is primarily responsible for the management of key contracts and agreements across the range of Road Safety services. This includes management and assessment of contractor/supplier perform.ance and providing authoritative advice and inform.ation re garding contractual obligations.
About the Role:
The Senior Contracts Adviser supports the Manager, Contracts in monitoring, investigating analysing and reporting on contractor/supplier perform.ance against key perform.ance indicators and service standards and also support the management of non-compliance incidents. The Senior Contracts Adviser regularly makes recommendations for improvement and monitors corrective actions undertaken by the contractor to address issues identified.
The role works closely with internal and external stakeholders, including Victoria Police operational members, concerning the crossover of contractual performance with operational components of Road Safety's Mobile Camera Program om support of ensuring the mobile camera program is operationally effective
This role will provide direct support to the State's commitment to effectively manage the road safety camera network as well as directly impact the delivery of key enforcement initiatives that DJCS is responsible for under the Victorian Government's Road Safety Strategy 2021-2030 and associated Road Safety Action Plan 2021-2024 and 2024 - 2027.
This role supports RSCP in managing approximately $180M+ annually in high risk and high value outsourced contracts, and approximately $120M+ in project funding from external agencies to support the delivery of key initiatives. Specifically, this role is responsible for contract managing the high risk and high value Distracted Driver and Seatbelt Services agreement and all associated contractual requirements including but not limited to:
