As the Senior Conservation Action Planning Officer, you will help drive the development, implementation and continuous improvement of Parks Victoria's conservation planning framework. Working closely with regional teams, technical specialists and partner organisations, you will coordinate Conservation Action Plans, implementation planning, prioritisation and monitoring processes that support improved conservation outcomes.
The role combines strategic planning, stakeholder engagement and project delivery, providing an opportunity to influence how conservation priorities are identified, funded, delivered and reported across the organisation. You will also contribute to ongoing reforms that strengthen conservation planning systems, tools and governance.
The Conservation Programs Branch is a collaborative and supportive team focused on improving conservation outcomes across Victoria's parks, reserves, coasts and waterways. We work closely with regional operations, conservation scientists, Traditional Owners and partner agencies to develop practical, evidence-based approaches to conservation planning, prioritisation, delivery and reporting. The team is committed to continuous improvement, innovation and building stronger connections between planning, investment and on-ground outcomes.
