About the Role
The Senior Microsoft Collaboration Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimising modern collaboration and productivity solutions across the Department's Microsoft collaboration platforms. The role provides technical leadership in delivering secure, scalable, and innovative services that enhance communication, collaboration, and user experience, while ensuring alignment with the department's strategic technology roadmap.
Attributes
The role is responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving Microsoft 365 collaboration services, including Microsoft Teams, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Microsoft Copilot, Microsoft Purview and associated integrations. Working closely with operational teams, digital learning stakeholders, cybersecurity teams, enterprise architecture, the role drives platform innovation, adoption, automation, governance, and service optimisation to maximise value and user experience across corporate, schools and early learning centres.
Providing senior-level technical expertise, guidance, and escalation support for complex incidents, critical issues, major projects, platform governance activities, and technology decision-making affecting collaboration services.
