About YPARC (Youth Prevention and Recovery Centre)
YPARC is a sub-acute Youth residential service, that provides recovery focused and evidenced-based mental health care. The service is co-run with Austin and MIND as a non-clinical service provider, in a model that combines developmentally appropriate clinical, recovery based and peer work. A YPARC stay is a short, intense period of support in the individual’s recovery journey of around 2 - 4 weeks’ duration.
The phases of care in YPARC are - ‘step-up’ – support for young people experiencing a first episode or a deterioration of their mental health, and ‘step-down’ – support and reconnection to home and community for the young person after a psychiatric inpatient admission.

About the role
The Team Leader in collaboration with Austin Program Manager, Consultant Psychiatrist and Mind Program Manager, will provide support in operational and clinical leadership at the YPARC. You will lead a multidisciplinary team ensuring a safe and therapeutic milieu on a rostered shift work basis and contribute to specialist therapeutic knowledge and skill in providing recovery orientated practice and trauma-informed care to young people, their families, and their care systems.

If you are passionate about working with Young People, have knowledge and experience in the use of current theoretical approaches and best practice and enjoy being part of a multidisciplinary team and shaping the future of an innovative mental health team, we are keen for you to join us!
The successful candidate will be tertiary qualified in Nursing, Social Work, Psychology, Occupational Therapy or other related discipline have demonstrated knowledge of the mental health, youth and community sector service system, proven experience working with Young People and their families and Carers,
