THE ROLE
The Senior Clinician (STO) within the Community team of the Forensic Disability Clinical Service is a specialist position that is responsible for the provision of assessments and consultation regarding people who are on a Supervised Treatment Order (STO).
Supervised Treatment Orders (STO) are a civil detention legal mechanism which is set out in Part 8 of the Disability Act 2006 (Vic). It enables a person with intellectual disability to be detained in their accommodation on the basis that they pose a significant risk of harm to others. The position is integral to the provision of contemporary treatment and care within the forensic disability sector.

This is an NDIS Risk Assessed Role / This is a Key Personnel Role.
Staff appointed to this role at the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing may not commence in role until they have an NDIS Worker Screening Clearance and have provided this detail for recording.
