THE ROLE
Hurstbridge Farm Therapeutic Care service (the Farm) provides therapeutic residential care for children and young people (young people) and is situated in a semi-rural environment in Nutfield. The Farm is the only out of home care service managed by the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing and provides 24-hour care and support to young people who are child protection clients, subject to Children's Court Orders and cannot reside with family.
Reporting to the Principal Practitioner and working closely with the Manager, Hurstbridge Farm. The Senior Clinician will be based at the Farm and be part of a dynamic work environment and team providing a therapeutic residential experience for young people with complex needs.
The therapeutic practice model is underpinned by contemporary trauma and evidence informed practices that serve to provide care staff with the knowledge and capabilities to assist young people to heal and establish strong and positive relationships with those around them.
The Senior Clinician will provide a range of services for young people in out of home care including screenings, assessments, group-based intervention programs, preparation of treatment plans and risk assessment reports.
The position is integral to the provision of contemporary therapeutic approaches and clinical support. As the Senior Clinician you will educate, upskill and inspire a team of professionals responsible for the young people residing at the Farm.
This role may require travel and the delivery of after-hours services.
