About the role:
The Senior Clinical Specialist is a key partner to the Department of Health in the Victorian Community Pharmacist Program and provides senior leadership and expert clinical advice to support the development and implementation of clinical protocols focused on the quality use of medicines.
The role contributes to reducing medicines related preventable harm and improving patient outcomes in Victoria by leading evidence based clinical protocol development, providing expert advice on therapeutic guidelines and drug approvals, and supporting stakeholder engagement across the health system.
The role works closely with the Community Pharmacist Program team and provides specialist advice to the Director and Executive Director in the Community and Women's Health Branch, supporting a government priority initiative that expands access to healthcare through community pharmacies and increases the scope of practice of pharmacists in Victoria.
