About the Role:
Western Health is seeking a Senior Carer Peer Worker to join our Community Mental Health Team.
This senior lived experience role draws on carer lived experience to provide peer support to families, carers and supporters of people accessing mental health services. The role also provides on-the-job leadership, mentoring and guidance to Carer Peer Workers, working within a recovery-oriented and family-inclusive framework.
You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring the carer voice is embedded in care planning, service delivery and system improvement, while maintaining a strong peer identity and carer-led practice.

Western Health also provides the primary healthcare service at the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre, a women’s prison located in Ravenhall.
