Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal, Judicial College and Judicial Commission.
Collectively, Victoria's Supreme, County, Magistrates', Children's, and Coroners courts, the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT), the Judicial College of Victoria, the Judicial Commission of Victoria, and Court Services Victoria (CSV) are referred to as the ‘Courts Group'.

The County Court of Victoria is established pursuant to the County Court Act 1958. It has original and appellate jurisdiction and is the principal trial court in the State of Victoria. The Court hears over 12,000 criminal, common law, and commercial cases each year. The County Court has unlimited monetary jurisdiction in common law and commercial matters. In its criminal jurisdiction, the Court hears all indictable offences except treason, murder, and related offences.
There are a total of 80 Judges of the Court and over 300 staff, including judicial support staff. The County Court regularly conducts circuit sittings at 12 circuit courts situated in major centres throughout regional Victoria.

About the Role
This exciting leadership role works closely with the Director Specialist Courts and Strategy to deliver the strategic objectives of the County Court's Specialist Courts Division.
You will lead a small team and collaborate with senior County Court managers to deliver high quality programs, service transformation and strategic advice.
You will be responsible for reporting on Early Intervention Investment Framework outcomes, preparing PAEC briefings, ensuring budget sustainability, and embedding continuous quality improvement across the Specialist Courts Division. This will include managing key strategic planning initiatives and business case development through the Expenditure and Review Committee.

The ideal candid ate will be a strategic leader, with an eye for detail, who promotes a culture of diligence, learning, development and innovation.
Your stakeholder engagement skills will be used to coordinate with other jurisdictions and departments to drive solutions focused outcomes and to facilitate sharing of knowledge, expertise and resources.
You will need to demonstrate a sound understanding and experience of government's key strategic priorities, and future directions. Significant experience in coordinating complex projects and policies, including evidence-based planning and reviews, is a requirement.
