An exciting opportunity exists for a talented and passionate individual to join the First Peoples-State Relations Group as Senior Business Analyst and Test Lead at Department of Premier and Cabinet.
The First Peoples - State Relations Group is responsible for nation leading work in the areas of cultural rights, self-determination, treaty and truth - an extensive program of priority work with First Peoples. We recognise Victoria's First Peoples as the self-determining drivers of Aboriginal affairs in Victoria.
The Community Relations, Heritage Registry and Systems Branch supports the department to administer the Aboriginal Heritage Act 2006, which includes protecting and managing Aboriginal cultural heritage, maintaining a register of Aboriginal places and objects, working collaboratively with Registered Aboriginal Parties, and supporting the Secretary's role in administering Cultural Heritage Permits and Cultural Heritage Management Plans.
The Senior Business Analysts and Test Lead will manage a small multidisciplinary team to help deliver direct business outcomes in a modern technology environment with an innovative application. This position will drive application design and testing activities within the Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Register and Information Systems (ACHRIS). The position plays a pivotal role in stakeholder engagement and ensuring alignment between business needs and technology solutions. Through targeted analysis and lifecycle oversight, the role identifies opportunities for performance improvement and cost efficiency, while also managing comprehensive testing activities to ensure system usability and project success.
