About the Department
The VCAA is a statutory body responsible to the Victorian Minister for Education, serving both government and non-government schools. In this context, the VCAA is responsible for developing high-quality curriculum and assessment products and services.
The VCAA is a registered foundational and senior secondary awarding body with the Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority (VRQA). As part of its functions, the VCAA develops policies, criteria and standards for:
The VCAA develops strong relationships with the government, Independent and Catholic school sector, other national and interstate curriculum authorities, academics in the field, teacher/subject associations and, most importantly, with Victorian educators.

About the Division
Corporate Services Division provides enabling services to support the operation of the VCAA with communications, engagement, data and analytics, legal policy, finance, human resources, technology infrastructure and applications.
Corporate Services is focussed on delivering high quality, innovative services and operating as a strong collaborative partner to the Curriculum and Assessment Divisions to support delivery of the VCAAs vision and mission.
The Business Relationship and Engagement Unit in the IMT Branch is the front door into IMT. It works with business areas to understand and shape needs, clarify problems, capture requests, support triage and prioritisation, and help determine the right pathway for the work.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join VCAA's Information Management & Technology Branch.
You will work across complex ICT projects and initiatives, partnering with business areas, technology teams and delivery partners to understand business needs and translate them into clear business requirements, functional specifications and practical technology solutions. s. This role requires proven experience and working knowledge of MySQL.

About you
You will be an experienced business analyst who can confidently work between business and technology teams. You will bring strong requirements analysis and documen tation skills, excellent stakeholder engagement and facilitation capability, and the ability to work through complex and ambiguous business problems.
You will ideally have experience working on ICT projects in a complex operational environment, together with a strong understanding of business processes, technology-enabled solutions and contemporary delivery practices.
