About the role:
The Senior Auditor supports the effective delivery of the organisation's internal audit program. The role undertakes audit planning, conducts audits and reviews, analyses systems and controls, and prepares high‑quality reports that identify risks and drives improvement. The role also supports departmental stakeholders in their engagement with the Victorian Auditor General's Office (VAGO) through the performance audit cycle.
Working closely with governance, risk and integrity partners, the Senior Auditor provides expert advice, builds organisational capability and helps ensure that business processes, compliance obligations and internal controls remain robust and fit for purpose.
The Internal Audit Team provides independent assurance and advice to strengthen governance, risk management and internal controls across the organisation. The team delivers the annual internal audit program, conducts targeted reviews, supports risk assessment processes and works with business areas to embed effective control frameworks.
