The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking one Senior Assurance Officers to provide a critical role within Corrections Victoria.
About the Business Unit
The Contracts and Infrastructure Branch are responsible for contract management, commercial oversight and advisory services, as well as the effective management and maintenance of all Corrections and Justice Services' prison and related infrastructure. This includes:
The Contract Management Team sits within the Contracts and Infrastructure Branch and is responsible for the management of the two Private Prison Contracts and Justice Transport Services Contract.
About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager / Contract Manager, the Senior Assurance Officer will play a critical role in ensuring operator accountability for operations across Ravenhall Correctional Centre / Fulham Correctional Centre, working in partnership with the private prison contract management teams. The Senior Assurance Officer will provide advice to the Contract Manager and General Manager on operations and service delivery performance at the private prisons, according to contractual requirements.
In addition to office-based activities, aspects of this role are predominantly conducted on-site at prison locations, which may involve overnight travel. This role will be required to visit prisons at least three days per week to undertake performance monitoring obligations and to build strong relationships with prison operational staff.
