About the Role
The Worker Screening Unit (WSU) is responsible for administering the Worker Screening Act 2020 by processing applications for Working with Children Checks and NDIS Worker Screening Checks. The WSU helps to protect children and vulnerable people from harm by ensuring that persons are fit to engage in relevant employment and volunteer activities. To achieve such, the WSU assesses applicants past criminal history (if present) and any other relevant findings from specific professional disciplinary bodies.
The Senior Application Support Officer is responsible for the accurate processing and review of the more complex Working with Children (WWC) Check and National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Screening Check applications.
There are 2 positions available. One Ongoing position and one Fixed Term position available for a period of 12 months. The work location for these positions is Ballarat.
