About the Department
The department provides a wide range of learning and development support and services.
The department provides policy leadership, plans for the future of education in Victoria and leads key cross-sector collaboration. The department plays an important system steward role by providing support, guidance, oversight and assurance across early childhood and school education systems, as well as directly providing school education and 50 new early learning centres.
About the Role
The purpose of this role is to undertake data analysis to support informed decision-making and strategic initiatives that help create safe, respectful and inclusive workplaces for school-based and corporate staff.
The role is part of the Respectful and Safe Workplaces Team, which leads policies, supports, training and initiatives that contribute to school, early learning and corporate staff feeling safe, respected and included at work. The team is part of the Employee Respect, Safety and Inclusion Branch, which aims to provide safe and inclusive working environments for Department employees to thrive and succeed.
Previous experience in school operations, respectful workplaces, disability and inclusive education is desirable. As an integral part of a small team working in a dynamic environment, the successful candidate will:
Current priorities (that may evolve over time) include reviewing work-related violence in schools' data to inform policy review and capability building. The successful candidate will also support the department's diversity and inclusion priorities through analysis of employee experience data, workforce data, and implementation data of targeted initiatives.
This role requires attendance at the Department's CBD office in accordance with DE's Flexible Work Policy.
