About the Department
The department provides a wide range of learning and development support and services.
The department provides policy leadership, plans for the future of education in Victoria and leads key cross-sector collaboration. The department plays an important system steward role by providing support, guidance, oversight and assurance across early childhood and school education systems, as well as directly providing school education and 50 new early learning centres.
About the Division
The EAL Unit is part of the Statewide Programs and Tech Schools Division. Within SEPS, the Statewide Programs and Tech Schools Division (SPaTS) has a central role in ensuring schools can access the programs and supports they need so that all students, including cohorts who may need additional supports, can excel at school. We achieve this by designing and delivering programs, developing operational policy and advice, and providing resources and guidance to schools.

Working with the Manager, EAL Unit, the Senior Analyst will continue modelling work on an EAL proficiency-based model as outlined in the Silver Review and supported by Government. The Senior Analyst will:
The Senior Analyst will utilise their strong analytical and conceptual skills to lead and manage the above workstreams which require strong policy and data analysis skills including the ability to work closely and collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders to implement system level change.
The Senior Analyst will demonstrate excellent time management skills to effectively work across two high priority work streams.
