Senior Analyst, Strategy and Delivery
• Salary: VPS-5 $113,022 - $136,747 (plus superannuation)

The Role
The Senior Analyst, Strategy and Delivery provides high-quality industry and economic intelligence to support strategic trade initiatives and investment attraction for Victoria. The role contributes to the development and implementation of economic development, trade and investment strategies, while identifying opportunities to strengthen Victoria's business investment environment in collaboration with other government departments.
Working across a diverse range of strategic projects, the successful candidate will undertake market research and analysis to support evidence-based decision making, engage with internal and external stakeholders, and contribute to the delivery of high-impact trade and investment initiatives. The role requires flexibility, strong written communication and presentation skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Main Accountabilities
• Contribute to strategic business planning and provide advice on implementation issues
• Provide leadership in the adaptation and application of concepts to operational matters within the work area
• Manage and lead strategic projects and delivery initiatives
• Initiate research and analysis consistent with organisational objectives
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders and negotiate outcomes to support project delivery
The Team
The position of Senior Analyst, Strategy and Delivery forms part of the Trade and Investment Strategy and Delivery unit within the Industry Trade and Investment Services branch.
The Industry Trade and Investment Services branch provides support services that enable the delivery of trade, investment and industry development activities across Victoria. The Trade and Investment Strategy and Delivery unit provides applied policy, trade and investment data insights, and delivery capability to proactively identify and facilitate priority investment opportunities and strategic initiatives across key sectors.
About You
You will use your project delivery capability and strategic thinking skills to translate strategies into practical programs and initiatives that achieve organisational outcomes. You will apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to deliver evidence-based solutions and tangible business outcomes.
You will also demonstrate strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to build collaborative relationships, gain buy-in for ideas, and work effectively across government and industry partners to deliver projects successfully. Experience managing governance frameworks, monitoring project progress, and adapting to changing priorities will be highly regarded.
