THE ROLE
Reporting to the Manager CIMS Data and Analytics, the role of the Senior Analyst will be part of a small specialist team responsible for the delivery of high-quality data analysis and performance reporting relating to statewide incident management and response.
Using data from the Client Incident Management System (CIMS), the role contributes to the effective oversight of service delivery by leveraging data insights to inform decision-making, compliance monitoring and continuous improvement. A thorough understanding of the CIMS policy, the CIMS system, and CIMS reporting requirements is key to delivering expected outcomes in this role. This role requires the ability to extract, analyse and use incident data to gain an understanding of the client experience, translating these insights to inform operational and system improvements.
This position plays a key role in maintaining and operating analytical systems, business intelligence tools, and collaborating across the department to gather contextual information to ensure the accuracy and relevance of reporting outputs. A working knowledge of CIMS policy and ability to apply analytical oversight and interpretation of the client experience is a critical element of the role.
By applying both qualitative and quantitative data analysis, the Senior Analyst is responsible for identifying trends, risks and opportunities within the incident management process, ensuring insights are clear, actionable and aligned with departmental objectives.
The position also provides authoritative strategic advice to relevant senior managers and external stakeholders which contributes to the design, development and testing of business improvement and reporting enhancements to streamline and automate analytical functions.
