About the Role
We’re seeking a senior advisor to help manage People & Capability (P&C) projects. In this role, you will design and deliver projects with an emphasis on effective engagement, change methodology, and readiness strategies that ensure initiatives are understood, adopted, and embedded into day-to-day operations.
You’ll partner with P&C, subject matter experts, and the wider business to ensure that project milestones are met, project sponsors are kept updated, and that all stages of the projects are executed effectively.
This work directly influences how leaders manage their people by continuously optimising our approaches to how we delivery P&C services to the business, including key P&C activites like recruitment, onboarding and offboarding, and general P&C systems upgrades.
Join us in building better connections for Victoria by:
- Conducting and analysing impact assessments to evaluate project size, complexity, and appropriate delivery pathways (e.g. business-led, collaborative, or hands-on support).
- Leading the development and maintenance of core project artefacts including project charters, timelines, stakeholder maps, and resource plans.
- Defining roles, responsibilities, and governance structures to enable efficient delivery and accountability.
- Managing end-to-end delivery of P&C initiatives, ensuring timelines, milestones, and outcomes are achieved. Identify and manage risks, dependencies, and issues throughout the project lifecycle.
- Engaging with business owners and SMEs to ensure operational alignment and accountability for deliverables.
- Providing timely and accurate updates to project sponsors, governance forums, and other stakeholders to ensure visibility and alignment.
- Fostering strong working relationships across functional teams, facilitating collaboration and problem-solving.
- Partnering with project readiness leads and key stakeholders to prepare for changes and support business readiness initiatives
About You
- You’re an organised and proactive project professional with experience supporting projects end-to-end — from scoping and planning through to tracking, documentation management and meeting coordination. You’re comfortable working across multiple initiatives and keeping delivery on track.
- You bring experience in HR or People & Culture environments, or exposure to government or operational projects. You understand the importance of governance, compliance and stakeholder engagement in people-related work.
- You’re confident using Microsoft 365 and SharePoint to manage documentation, reporting and collaboration.
This opportunity is a 2 year fixed-term contract.
