The Opportunity
The Senior Advisor, Board Services is responsible for providing a high-quality governance and secretariat support and advice to the Corporate Secretary and the VicGrid Board of Directors, and is central to supporting the efficient operations of the Board, including induction, engagement, compliance, coordination and briefings.
The role will support building systems and processes to enable proactive and constructive communication between the Chair, Directors and the executive; compliance with governance practices; and the smooth operation of Board activities. The role will play a key role in organising meetings and supporting preparing materials, managing correspondence, maintaining records and acting as a liaison between the Board and executive leadership.
What you will deliver
- Develop, implement and maintain governance frameworks, systems and protocols that enable effective functioning and decision-making of the Board and its Committees, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and VicGrid's policies and procedures.
- Support the timely coordination of Board and Committee meetings — including annual and ongoing calendar scheduling and supporting agenda preparation, collation, review and distribution of papers, minute-writing and logistics.
- Provide advice on and maintain governance documentation and monitor adherence to protocols and support the management of the Board's personal interest register and the identification and handling of potential conflicts.
- Support the onboarding, induction and offboarding of Board and Committee members, including the coordination of their professional development activities and logistical arrangements for events.

- Demonstrated experience to support the coordination of whole of function capabilities including the ability be proactive, collaborative and inclusive with exceptional interpersonal skills.
