The VCAA is a statutory body responsible to the Victorian Minister for Education, serving both government and non-government schools. We provide high quality curriculum, assessment and reporting for all Victorian students birth to 18 years.
An exciting opportunity exists to join the VCAA in the VCE Curriculum Unit for a fixed-term full-time position.
Role purpose
The Senior Advisor leads policy development related to the VCE, including VET, contributing to key areas including but not limited to accreditation of VCE studies, VET Programs and providers, oversight of state-wide VCE and VET delivery and support, and audit and compliance activity. The role involves supporting complex projects across the full policy cycle—conducting research and analysis, developing policy and service delivery options, and supporting the delivery of coherent and sustainable policies across the VCE, including VET.
About You
You will have demonstrated experience in policy development and analysis, ideally within a government or public sector context, experience in preparing high-quality policy documents, strategic briefings, and reports for senior executive and ministerial audiences. You are driven, enthusiastic and set high standards in your work performance. You are a highly organised and professional person, capable of managing projects with numerous contributors and stakeholders to firm deadlines.
