Senior Adviser, First Peoples Workforce and Cultural Capability – VPS5 – Ongoing

What you’ll do
As a Senior Adviser within the First Peoples Workforce and Cultural Capability team, you will contribute to strategic policy and whole-of-government initiatives that support the Victorian Government’s First Peoples workforce, cultural capability and self-determination agenda.
You will help develop policy and guidance to support culturally safe workplaces and consistent application of Treaty principles across the Victorian Public Sector. The role involves preparing high-quality policy advice, briefings and strategic communications, supporting complex reform implementation, and working collaboratively with departments and stakeholders to strengthen capability across government.
This role sits within the Strategy, Policy, Integrity and First Peoples branch at the Victorian Public Sector Commission (VPSC), which leads strategic workforce, integrity and capability policy across the VPS.

We’re looking for someone who can:
A tertiary qualification in public policy or a related discipline and/or experience in public policy within a government context is required.
Experience working with First Nations communities and organisations will be highly regarded.
