Emergency Management Victoria (EMV) is seeking a Senior Adviser, Field Operations to provide a critical role at Emergency Management.
About the Business Unit
Within the Department of Justice and Community Safety, EMV is responsible for the overall coordination of the emergency management system in Victoria. EMV drives the integration of policy, strategy, operational coordination, and planning across Victoria's emergency management sector, contributing to safer, more resilient communities.
EMV works closely with government and agencies across the emergency management portfolio. The organisation is led by the Deputy Secretary/ Chief Executive and Emergency Management Commissioner, Emergency Management Victoria and includes oversight of statutory entities and offices and the department's emergency management accountabilities.
About the Role
The Senior Adviser Field Operations is responsible for supporting the safe and efficient operational delivery of the Clean-up program and ensuring delivery aligns to community outcomes. They are responsible for delivering the program within the identified guidelines, facilitating relationships with contractors and relevant government organisations, overseeing contractor operational delivery and sharing information to support program delivery. This is a key operational role that will build genuine partnerships and collaborate across all levels of government, businesses and not-for-profit organisations to support community-led recovery from Natural disasters, ensuring the needs of affected individuals, communities and regions are met.
