THE ROLE
This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to contribute to the investment strategy and business case development program at Homes Victoria (Department of Families, Fairness and Housing). The successful candidate will be a critical member of the team to develop new program strategy, develop funding submissions and new programs and deliver associated funding applications for more and better homes in the social and affordable housing portfolio. This includes local area investment strategies including a divestment strategy, leading the development of State budget submissions, and development of housing programs such as the Commonwealth's National Housing Infrastructure Fund – Crisis and Transitional Housing program and 100,000 First Homes Buyers commitment. The role will work collaboratively with teams across Homes Victoria and the broader department to deliver housing initiatives where most needed
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
- Support the delivery and monitoring of the National Housing Infrastructure Fund – Crisis and Transitional Housing and 100,000 homes for First Home Buyers and other funding programs as relevant, which strategically improves and grows the social and affordable housing portfolio, working in close collaboration with Branches across Homes Victoria in particular the Asset Management branch and the Housing Development branch.
- Contribute to the development of capital funding bids and business cases as part of the annual budget cycle and in response to state and Commonwealth funding programs.
- Contribute to strategy and policy reforms for Homes Victoria considering forecast demand and supply of social and affordable housing, leveraging data and spatial tools, to inform prioritisation of housing renewal and growth, divestment and acquisition at a municipal and neighbourhood level, leveraging partnership arrangements and commercial models and utilising Homes Victoria pipeline opportunities.
