THE ROLE
The Senior Adviser works as part of a small team accountable for developing and implementing programs and practices to improve workplace culture, leadership capability and gender equality at the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing.
The role may work across a range of projects including leadership development, staff surveys (People Matter), positive workplace culture, embedding the VPS values, improving retention of critical workforces, prevention of bullying and inappropriate behaviour and strengthening gender equality.
Key components of the role include: design and delivery of culture building workshops across all areas of Victoria; working in partnership with stakeholders across the department to build workplace culture and improve employee engagement, safety, respect, satisfaction and performance; administering, analysing and briefing senior leaders and others on the People Matter Survey and other culture indicators; and supporting the department to meet statutory requirements under the Gender Equality Act 2020 (Vic).
