About the role
As the Senior Accounts Payable Officer you’ll be responsible to provide high-quality support across the Accounts Payable (AP) function. Reporting to the Team Leader – Accounts Payable, you will play a key role in ensuring the Department’s financial governance policies and delegations are consistently applied.
This role is central to the smooth operation of the AP function, with responsibility for purchasing card administration, reconciliations, expense audits, supplier set-up and amendments, and payment processing. You’ll also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring processes are clearly documented, service standards are met, and performance metrics are achieved. From time to time, you may be required to provide cross-skilling support across the wider AP and compliance functions.
The successful candidate will bring proven experience in accounts payable operations, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. A collaborative approach, strong stakeholder engagement skills, and knowledge of financial systems Oracle Cloud.
