The Opportunity:
The Finance Department at Holmesglen manages the Institute’s financial operations, including payroll, accounts payable and receivable, and financial accounting. The team ensures all transactions are accurate, efficient, and compliant with regulations while providing strong financial management and exceptional service to internal stakeholders. By delivering timely financial insights and maintaining robust systems for payments, asset management, and reporting, the department supports operational and strategic objectives and contributes to the Institute’s long-term financial sustainability and growth.
The Senior Accountant plays a key role in managing the accounts receivable team to ensure the accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, including invoice generation, payment allocation, and student revenue reconciliation. You will support month-end and year-end ledger closures, contribute to the preparation of the Institute’s Annual Financial Report, ensure compliance with accounting standards and taxation obligations, and assist with continuous improvement and strategic financial initiatives.
This onsite role requires collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to resolve discrepancies, maintain data integrity, and provide clear financial summaries to support informed decision-making. You will also support ad hoc projects, Business Activity Statement (BAS) preparation, and Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) compliance, while fostering best practice within the Finance team.
