About the role:
You will be responsible for providing Strategic advice, leadership and support across EPA to build and strengthen meaningful relationships and genuine partnerships with Traditional Owner groups, Aboriginal communities, and key stakeholders. You will require a proven record of development and execution of strategic initiatives that build and maintain respectful, collaborative relationships with First Nations communities and key stakeholders. You support and strengthen the EPA’s capacity as a culturally safe and inclusive organisation, and strategically network, support and advise on effective engagement and partnership with Traditional Owners and Aboriginal Victorians, aligned to EPA’s strategic priorities to prevent harm to Victorian communities and the environment from pollution and waste.
In this role you will:
Provide strategic advice to effectively build relationships and partnerships with Traditional Owners and Aboriginal Victorians.
Identify emerging complex or highly sensitive issues, risks and trends impacting on the successful achievement of EPA’s strategic priorities to prevent harm to communities and the environment from pollution and waste and develop innovative solutions and options.
Maintain strong networks and relationships across state and local government agencies, business and community organisations, to support integrated approaches to working with Traditional Owners and Aboriginal Victorians.
Deliver high-quality support and engagement across EPA to build relationships and partnerships with Traditional Owners and Aboriginal Victorians.
Skills and experience:
Demonstrated senior level experience in working effectively with diverse Traditional Owner groups and Aboriginal Victorians and ability to strengthen and build relationships and partnerships.
