Central Highlands Rural Health is currently inviting applications from suitably experienced Registered Nurses to join the Perioperative Services team at Daylesford (newly built, single, operating theatre complex), in the role of Scrub/Scout Nurse.
The successful applicant will have demonstrated surgical experience in perioperative nursing, with exposure to Gynaecological, Ophthalmology, Endoscopy and General surgery
Role Statement:
The Registered Nurse (Perioperative) is an integral member of the multidisciplinary team who works to achieve a high standard of evidence-based nursing care to the patient/client and significant others for positive treatment outcomes.
You will undertake and contribute to the multidisciplinary assessment treatment and discharge planning of patients and assumes accountability and responsibility for his/her own practice based upon his/her level of educational preparation and competence.
About you:
• Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• At least three years' experience in a Scrub/Scout role, including the above mentioned specalities.
• Demonstrated ability to be self-direct innovative and motivated.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and under the direction of the NUM - Perioperative.
• Demonstrated understanding of the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards (NSQHSS).
• A comprehensive knowledge of operating theatre processes and procedures.
