SC 1 - A comprehensive knowledge and understanding of nursing services in respect to child and adolescent health and development, an ability to practise nursing procedures, as well as, the capacity to advocate for and protect the rights of children and young people.
SC 2 - High-level ability to effectively address the complex healthcare needs of students and groups, including coordination, organisation and provision of specific training and health promotion that contributes to a whole school approach to the maintenance of a healthy work and learning environment that is respectful, safe and supportive of students and the school community.
SC 3 - Sound verbal and written communication skills and a proven commitment to collaborative practice with all community members including Teachers, Education Support Staff, Parents, Allied Health Professionals and Medical Practitioners to ensure the provision of a high quality nursing service.
SC 4 - A commitment to ongoing professional development of self and others that supports improved individual student and whole of school community health outcomes, as well as, and adherence to Department of Education values.
SC 5 - Confident skills in word, excel, power point, outlook. Confident to liaise with Training companies to organise First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis courses. Familiar with CASES21, Edusafe and Compass is an advantage but training will be provided.
