KSC1 - Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge and understanding of nursing services in respect to child health and development including the appropriate qualifications, technical skills and expertise as relevant to the position.
KSC2 - Demonstrated ability to effectively address the complex healthcare needs of students and provide a whole school approach to the maintenance of a healthy working and learning environment that is respectful, safe and supportive of students and the school community.
KSC3 - Demonstrated high level of written and verbal communication skills and a high level of interpersonal skills, including the capacity to provide advice and support to students, staff and parents in respect to the work area.
KSC4 - Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of anaphylaxis, allergies, asthma and diabetes.
KSC5 - Demonstrated experience in the delivery and coordination of student and family health and wellbeing services in a school setting.
Hours of work: 9:00am - 3:30pm Monday - Friday with an unpaid 30 minute lunchbreak.
The First Aid Nurse acts as a first point of contact for all first aid enquiries. It is important that the successful applicant operates in a consistent, professional, courteous and efficient manner at all times. The role requires close interaction with a range of staff, students and visitors to the school.
A current relevant qualification is required; e.g. registration with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency as a Registered Nurse with experience.
The First Aid Nurse is part of the Administration Community, whose responsibility is to work collaboratively, ensuring a productive, efficient and respectful workplace.
